  • Section 4 - Player Names
  • Section 5 - Confirmation

You can sign via register form, via telegram or via Discord DM.

I highly recommend you using the form.

Section 1 - Nation Info

This section covers the basics used for graphics, scoreboards, and overlays. If you are a returning member, leave blank any field that has not changed.

NationStates Name: Your official nation name as it appears in NationStates.

Display Name: The name shown ingame, on graphics, and on stream. It can match your NationStates name or be a shorter version.

Abbreviation: A 2 or 3 letter code for scoreboards. Examples: USA, ENG, RUS.

Flag: Upload a high quality image. The recommended minimum is 500px wide or 350px tall. If empty, your NationStates flag (as of today) will be used instead but it will look pixelated.

Info: Anything useful for generating player names and appearances. You can link dispatches, describe your nation’s culture or language.

At the end of this section you choose how to continue:

  • Customize Team: goes to Section 2, fully set up the team.
  • I only want to name my players: skips to Section 4.
  • Finish: jumps straight to confirmation. Leaves everything to us.

Section 2 - Football History & Team Builder

Football History: Links to NationStates dispatches or any other material related to football in your nation. Leagues, tournaments, lore, match stories, anything counts. This contributes to your ranking points.

Logo: Your federation emblem.

Squad: This is where you define your 26-player roster: 3 goalkeepers, 11 starters, 12 substitutes, and 3 reserves. The recommended way to fill this out is using the team builder tool linked in the form. Here is what it includes:

  • Presets: Pre-loaded squads from previous editions (some). A good starting point if you want to make small adjustments rather than building from scratch, simulating realistic squad rotation between tournaments.
  • Team configuration: Nation name, preferred formation, and a name generator option. The built-in generator is a placeholder and not recommended. For better results, assign names manually or use this name generator.
  • Race distribution: Sliders to define the racial makeup of your squad. If you want a custom race not listed, select custom and contact us directly to configure it.
  • Squad age: Buttons to increase or decrease all player ages by one year. Useful when working from a preset to reflect time passing since the last edition.
  • Players: The full player list. Each entry can have a shirt number, position, height, and other details. The KEY checkbox marks a player as the main reference for the highest rating on the team. Mark this sparingly. There are also buttons to swap players between positions or clear a slot for a new signing. At the bottom you can assign penalty and free kick takers, which affects the set piece stats of those players.
  • Copy to clipboard: Once done, use this to copy the result and paste it into the form field.

Try to keep the average height of your starters between 180 and 185 cm. Setting unrealistic heights is an unfair advantage.

Kit: Describe your home and away kit designs and colors. A selection of pre-made kits is available at the link in the form. Check if one already exists for your nation. If you want to upload your own kit files, continue to Section 3.

Other: Any additional information that does not fit elsewhere.

Section 3 - Upload Kit

This section is for participants who want to submit custom kit textures. A few things to keep in mind:

  • Kits must be FTEX textures made in PESMaster.
  • Do not use real life brand logos. Replace them with your own or remove them entirely.
  • National teams do not have sponsors. Do not include them on the kit.
  • Home and away kits must be visually distinct. The goalkeeper kit must also differ clearly from both.
  • If you move the name or number positions from the default, show us where.
  • Do not change the shininess setting. Default shininess will be applied to all kits for consistency ingame.

Font: The font used for player names and numbers. Only fonts available in Photopea are accepted. If you want a custom font, upload the .ttf file in the files section.

Section 4 - Player Names

This section is for participants who skipped the full customization and only want to submit player names. You will need 26 names in total.

You can paste names directly or use the team builder linked in the form.

Section 5 - Confirmation

The first 24 nations to submit will secure a direct place in the group stage. Remaining teams may enter a playoff round to compete for the final spots, depending on total registrations.

YouTube / Twitch / Kick ID (optional): Your streaming username, used to recognize you in chat during live broadcasts.

What to do after registering

Once you are in, there is more you can do before the tournament starts.

  • Earn ranking points: There are several ways to accumulate points across roleplay, events, and bonus categories. The full breakdown is in the ranking article and you can track your current score on the ranking page.
  • Write an article: Cover your nation’s football history, leagues, or any story related. It counts toward your ranking and adds to Forest RP lore. See the article writing guide for instructions.
  • Fill out the survey: Share your thoughts and help us improve. Survey here.
  • Join Discord: Follow the progress, stay updated. Forest Discord, FFC Discord.
  • Explore this site: Discover our history, stats, past editions, and the stories that make this tournament unique. Immerse and feel part of Forest Football!

Done. Submit the form and your spot is in. More details about the tournament will be announced closer to the start date.
