Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Forest Cup?

The Forest Cup is a Forestian football tournament where nations compete with their national teams. Matches are simulated in a balanced game and streamed on multiple sites.

How do I participate?

We have an article about this.

  • Fill out the registration form.
  • If you are already a FFC member, you can just DM us, although if you made changes (flag, squad, kits, etc.) the full form is recommended.
  • Optionally submit articles and RP content.
  • Join the Discord server to follow announcements and events.

Can I change my nation’s name ,flag or data after registering?

Minor updates can be requested before the registration deadline. Once the tournament starts and squads are locked, changes will not be accepted.

What happens if I miss the registration deadline?

Late registrations may be considered depending on available spots, but there are no guarantees. Teams that miss the deadline are placed in playoffs if spots remain, or excluded from the current edition entirely.

Is RP required to participate?

No. Roleplay content such as football lore or team customization is optional, but it contributes to ranking points, which directly affect your team’s generated squad quality.

How are matches played?

Matches are simulated using PES 2021 with custom teams generated from the submitted squads.

We are aware that some people don’t like this method because games like this can have scripting that ruins the plot, but I have tested it and, there isn’t a notorius script.

Where can I watch the matches?

We stream on Youtube, Twitch and Kick.

Although, you don’t need to watch the games in live, VODs are stored Youtube, or in Twitch/Kick for 1 week after the livestream ends.

What is the FFC ranking and how does it affect my team?

The FFC ranking is a points-based system that tracks each nation’s participation across roleplay, regional events, and past tournament performance. Your ranking score is used to generate your squad: the higher your score, the better the players you receive.

You can read the full breakdown here.

How are the groups and seeding pots determined?

  • The first 24 Forestian teams to register qualify directly and are seeded based on their FFC ranking.

  • From the 25th onwards, depending on how many teams join after the 32nd, teams may have to play playoffs.

  • Teams ranked higher are placed in stronger pots. Teams that play playoffs, regardless of their rank, are placed in Pot 4.

Can I join mid-tournament if I missed registration?

No. Once the tournament draw is done and matches begin, new participants cannot be added to the bracket.

Do I need to join the FFC Discord server?

No. But if you want to stay updated on organization, events, and announcements, it is strongly recommended.

When will the tournament start?

Exact dates will be announced on the RMB, the Discord server, and this website once registrations close.

Can I help organize the tournament?

Yes. Some participants may volunteer to help the FFC with feedback, ideas, and small organizational tasks. Join our Discord and ask for volunteer to get involved.

Are there prizes or rewards for winning?

There are no formal prizes. The reward is recognition within the region, a strong ranking for the next edition, and the bragging rights that come with it. :P
